Rumex vesicarius (RVE) mediated chitosan–AgNPs composite was produced in situ by using an aqueous extract of leaves as the reducing agent to reduce Ag+ Ag0. The synthesized evaluated a sweet (CO2) corrosion inhibitor (CI) for C1018 carbon steel (CS) 3.5 wt% NaCl solution under static and hydrodynamic conditions. inhibitive performance electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), linear polarization resistance (LPR), potentiodynamic (PDP) techniques, well scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/energy dispersive X-ray (EDAX), atomic force (AFM) on corroded CS without with additives. effect concentration, immersion time, temperature, rotation speed CI also investigated. increased increasing dosage, highest inhibition efficiency (IE) acquired at maximum dosage 0.3%. Beyond this IE decline concentration. Furthermore, found increase time temperature rise from 25 40 °C, optimum 60 °C accelerate RVE-mediated Chi–AgNPs composite. Under high shear stress, exhibits moderate surface analysis results validate formation protective covering due adsorption surface. could be recommended environments ambient temperature.
